Meet the Creator

Hello, I'm Phil, the creator of Tales of Dungeon Crawl. I am 16, and once, a while ago, I was a die-hard rpg-er. When I moved to Austin, Texas, back in 1999, I met a few interesting people who introduced me to the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Pretty soon, I was hooked. I started gaming as often as possible with a group of my friends. I got the idea for Tales of Dungeon Crawl when my group decided to break up, it reminded me of a rock band breaking up. So I thought, "how could I preserve the great memories of our gaming group?" Then I decided that I could write stories about our gaming adventures in the style of a journal written by the character whom I played, Morpheus, the halfling theif. The characters in my stories are all closely based on the characters that the people in my gaming group actually played. So, I asked one of these friends if I could borrow his website to post my stories. I wrote the journal entries and showed them to my former gaming group, and they loved it. So I decided that I would post them on this site.

What are my influences?

I was mainly influenced by the popular Knights of the Dinner Table comics, I suggest that as soon as you get the chance you cruise over to your local gaming store and pick up a copy of this great piece of work. Or, if your lazy, surf on over to one of these sites.

I was also greatly influenced by the popular paper and pencil RPG, Dungeons & Dragons. If you'd like to know more about this great game, surf on over to the Wizards of the Coast website.
